I’ve been busy checking the edits for the e-book version of Eight Days at The New Grand. It has a new title Countdown to Love and a new cover. I loved the old cover with its picture of the hotel but the new one is equally good and although it might seem odd because after all I wrote it, it was very interesting to read it again. I loved those characters. Yesterday I had an interview with Alison Thompson -the prooffairy – chatting about writing. As always it flew by and I forgot to say all the things I might have said but that’s the very nature of interviews. My large print copies of Best Laid Plans arrived yesterday too at an appropriate time because the story begins in the final run-up to Christmas. I have put up my Christmas tree and decorations in anticipation of the family arriving for Christmas – I have some wonderful singing characters that I have had for years and they take pride of place on the hall window ledge. There is a snowman, Christmas tree, Santa, Reindeer and Penguin and they are always very popular with the children – you press a foot and they sing out. I love bringing out the old favourites year after year but add to them as well so there is always something new. I have a new little crib that I bought from Truro cathedral and we shall listen to Carols from Kings just to remind us what it is really all about.
